The peaceful and informal site has mown pitches amongst the wildflower meadow.  Space is not allocated, campers choose their own pitch. Park your vehicle in the carpark, grab a wheelbarrow and choose your pitch in the 4 acres of wildflower meadow.

Spacious (and quite unique) shower block and toilets. Individual wet rooms with underfloor heating. Camp kitchen with fresh drinking water, ample hot water, 2 sinks and a small gas stove for boiling the kettle and cooking. Bring your own cool box.

We are the first site in the north to have individual wet rooms with underfloor heating. Our unique outdoor shower experience is very popular in July & August.

Crake Trees Manor is a regenerative farm and we work hard to create a beautiful place, rich in wildlife. Our informal grass camping field, at the centre of the farm is surrounded by wildlife and farm animals.

Around the site you will see free range hens, outdoor pigs (plus piglets during summer) pet lambs and a grazing herd of rare breed belted Galloways. Please treat them with respect, we are not a farm park.

Our campsite is set in the Westmorland Dales National Park, is part of The Yorkshire Dales National Park and just south of Cumbria, making it an ideal place to explore the wild north. The Pennine hills stretch out to the east of the campsite.

You can walk to the Butchers Arms, our community pub in the village, there are also lots of great pubs and cafes close by.

Ullswater lake, Lowther Castle, the lovely market town of Penrith and national trust Acorn Bank and Sizergh are all a short drive from Crake Trees.

Cooking equipment to be at least 1 foot above the ground. No disposable BBQ’s. No Open Fires, we have a limited supply of Fire Pits for hire, £15 including starter kit.
